This beautiful trillium is endangered in Ontario, Canada. This species lives in the wild in Ontario, but sadly is facing imminent extinction or extirpation. The greatest threat to Drooping Trillium is habitat loss and degradation caused by urban development or habitat alteration and damage due to recreational activities, such as hiking and ATV use.

‘Ethereal Beauty’

Drooping Trillium…
The delicate Drooping Trillium rises boldly above the deep green foliage yet dips its petals downward as it descends toward the darkness. Still, the fragile little flower tenaciously remains stalwart as though daring all to refuse this Ethereal Beauty its rightful place in Ontario’s Carolinian forests
