Endangered Species ~ The ‘Darkness’ Series Artwork
I am very proud to announce the completion of a special painting that has been dedicated to and in honour of the lifetime work of Dr. David Suzuki. It has been a pleasure to have created this painting highlighting several species at-risk and set within an endangered region of the Okanagan in British Columbia
Dr. Suzuki generously offered some personal insight that helped me determine the subject matter for this piece. He has since viewed this artwork, acknowledging his appreciation and has kindly provided comments on the overall theme of the painting, its subjects and setting. Host of Canada’s CBC TV – THE NATURE OF THINGS
I am exceptionally pleased to announce that I have recently received a personal letter from Dr. David Suzuki. Well-known to audiences around the world since 1979 as host of Canada’s CBC TV long running series – The Nature of Things, as well as his many television specials throughout the decades. I am tremendously honoured to have received his personal letter.
Dr. Suzuki, geneticist, environmental activist and broadcaster, is widely recognized as a world leader in sustainable ecology and for having received numerous awards for his work including a UNESCO prize for science and a United Nations Environment Program medal. Dr. Suzuki has also written or co-written more than fifty books, including many children’s books.
To receive a personal acknowledgement and thank you from Dr. Suzuki for being a part of the movement to find a different relationship with Nature – this truly strengthens my commitment to my cause. Through my art, the Darkness Series – and with my love for All Things Nature, I will continue striving to bring awareness to these issues while shining light on the ‘darkness’ regarding the plight of our beautiful Canadian Endangered Species and Species at Risk.

wonders frenetically race to feed their new family. A morning sunrise so magnificent, it

Autumn 2022 Musings…
The glory of the season is upon us and this year Mother Nature waved her magic wand to create one of the most spectacular colour displays one could ever witness – at least in Ontario and hopefully throughout the country. The sights and scents are magnificent!
It is a time to take a stroll along the shoreline; tread gently through the forest or discover what might be around the bend of a winding country road. The new discoveries one might find along the way can bring joy, peace and serenity. The fragrance of the colourful Maple leaves brings back childhood memories of the forest that surrounded our home.
Whatever memories you conquer this glorious season, remember to take time to enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. Get inspired. Be one with Nature. Find your inner peace…

Spring 2022 Musings…
As Winter releases us from its frigid grip and the sun shines just a little warmer, it is time to take a deep breath and revel in the freshness of the new season and what Mother Nature brings us in the great outdoors.
Flora and fauna come alive at this time. We watch with renewed anticipation, the return of our summer songbirds as they embark on their seasonal mating rituals.
As new Spring buds unfurl in all their glory ~ let us all rejoice in this new season…
Winter 2021/22 Musings…
While the brilliant colours of Autumn may have quietly slipped away, the dazzling
beauty of Winter now descends around us, creating the sparkle of icy diamonds on
everything that is touched by Mother Nature.
Vast swaths of land are adorned with a blanket of pristine white snow. Ice clings to
barren branches as it glistens in the sun and shining as brightly as a star lit night sky.
Autumn 2021 Musings…
As the summer season transitions into Autumn, we cannot help but marvel as we
witness Mother Nature transform the landscape into a cornucopia of vibrant colours.
Many creatures great and small begin a monumental journey as temperatures dip
and their instincts draw them to their winter destination.
It is the perfect time to pause. To breathe deeply. To inhale the intoxicating scents of
a forest in change. To reflect on the beauty of the new season. To simply just – be.

most simple moments.
Capturing those moments in any permanent form will keep the memory alive for years
to come. Take time to consider how each moment of wonder can be captured in your
heart forever. May the Beauty of Life shine all around you…
