Chrysanthemum…

Chrysanthemums, sometimes called Mums or Chrysanths, are flowering plants of the genus Chrysanthemum in the family Asteraceae. Native to Asia and northeastern Europe, most species originate from East Asia. Countless horticultural varieties and cultivars exist. Certain varieties flourish outdoors in a stunning array of colours that often brighten up an Autumn garden.

‘Pink Beauty’

This magnificent example of a Chrysanthemum offers a showy display amongst smaller varieties and delicate leaves. The technique used in this application highlights the flower’s unique petals with an iridescent sheen, creating a pearlesque appearance, as it ‘floats’ above the graphically-enhanced foliage.

‘Pink Beauty’ has been created in honour of the City of Hamilton’s Annual Gage Park Mum Show which features a spectacular arrangement of Chrysanthemums in a dazzling floral display. This exhibition has been an annual event at Gage Park for over 100 years and features over 200 varieties and over 100,000 blooms.
