It is why Hamilton is known as the Waterfall Capital of the World. But, through all the magnificence this region holds, there still lies a fragility that must be protected by all.

I created this storybook based on the special features and creatures of Hamilton, Ontario. To that – In the spirit of remaining local for this project, I have chosen to have my second book published in the city of Hamilton.
I would like to thank Impressive Printing, located in Hamilton, for their special, partial in-kind funding in the printing of ‘Saving The House Mother Nature Built ~ Hamilton. It was a pleasure to work with such professionals to help me bring this special book to print so that young readers can learn all about our unique city of Hamilton.
I also extend my sincere gratitude to the private funders for their kind contributions. As well, thankyou everyone, who pre-ordered copy(ies) of this new book. I hope you or the recipient will enjoy the story and illustrations.

About the author/Illustrator:
Sherry Hayes is a Canadian author and artist. Having grown up in the countryside surrounded by forests and wetlands teeming with wildlife, she has had a lifetime passion for and commitment to what she fondly refers to as – ‘All Things Nature’. Sherry believes in the necessary symbiotic relationship between humankind and the natural world and the need for proper balance.
‘Saving The House Mother Nature Built’ is designed to help teach our youth the significance of all species on earth. We must share this planet with Nature. Each village, town, city and region has special places where creatures look to us to help them live and thrive in their own little homes, whether it is where we live or it is in the forests, meadows, lakes or sky.
